Does an unresolved trauma still haunt you?

If you suffer from flash backs, insomnia, nightmares, panic attacks or phobias, or unexplained physical pain (when physical pathology has been ruled out), you may well be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Somatic Trauma Therapy is able to support you to go through and resolve those emotional and physical symptoms that can appear after traumatic incidents or prolonged periods of great stress.

How can traumas be resolved?

First it is necessary to develop trust and ensure safety.

Only after that, is it productive for you to look again at the traumatic event(s) from a safe place. By integrating the trauma, it can be placed safely in the past, allowing you to live more freely and happily.

New Rituals

It is often helpful to create new rituals to replace the automated ones, generated by surviving trauma and distress, that may no longer be helpful.

This might be about developing daily or weekly practices that help you to care for yourself, to connect you in a happier way with your own body, with your home and with the natural world.
